There are fears that bird flu might intersect with the swine flu virus. This could create a dangerous new variant of the virus. When combining exactly the hazards of the two viruses in a virus, it could create a sort of super virus. The swine flu is very contagious and avian flu has a high death rate. When a new virus would inherit these two properties, then this would be very dangerous.
